What is the San Diego Jewish Food Festival?
The San Diego Jewish Food Festival is a culinary and cultural journey featuring noshes (tasting sized samples) of ethnic foods based on time-honored recipes from around the globe. In addition to countless food booths with goodies that Grandma 'Bubbie' might have made, the festival features a wide assortment of deli and bakery delights from your favorite local restaurants and bakeries. Festival guests will also be feted with exciting live music, live food prep and cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs from favorite local restaurants, and activities suitable to all ages. The Festival is open to everyone. “Esn Epes!” Come eat something with us - try it you'll like it!

When and where will the San Diego Jewish Food Festival take place?
The event will be held on Sunday April 22, 2012 from 11am to 7pm. The Jewish Food Festival will be held on the Temple Adat Shalom campus located at 15905 Pomerado Road in Poway 92064. Click here for map.

What will I find on the Festival grounds?
Everything you need is here at the festival. Enjoy tasty Jewish and Mediterranean food, check out how the professional chefs prepare your favorite dishes, enjoy live music throughout the afternoon, shop for unique gifts and services, and let the kids be entertained with interactive arts, crafts and Earth Day activities. The Festival is located on the campus of Temple Adat Shalom (15905 Pomerado Road, Poway) and activities occur both indoors and outdoors. A large tent will contain the Live Music Stage and provide comfortable shaded outdoor seating with tables so you can sit down and relax while you sample some delicious food your grandmother used to make.

Are there activities for children?
Yes, there are many activities specifically designated for kids including arts and craft projects, jewelry making, bouncing house, photo booth and many more including a special hands-on sustained gardening activity co-sponsored by the San Diego Jewish Academy.

Where do I park for the Festival?
Free parking is located at the Gateway Medical Building (15725 Pomerado Rd) next to the festival,
Pomerado Professional Plaza (15706-15708 Pomerado Road) and Rancho Bernardo High School located at 13010 Paseo Lucido, San Diego, CA 92128. Free shuttle buses will run continuously throughout the day of the festival. Handicapped parking (with appropriate disabled placard or plate) is available directly on the festival grounds located at 15905 Pomerado Road in Poway 92064. Click here for map.

What kind of foods will be available at the Festival?
A myriad of nosh (tasting) portions of ethnic, Mediterranean and popular foods will available for purchase at the Festival including, but not limited to, bagels, lox, herring, kugel, blintzes, Mediterranean salads, chicken (multiple varieties), knishes, stuffed cabbage, majadrah, tzimmes, matzo ball soup, corned beef on rye, pastrami, chopped liver, brisket sliders, falafel, couscous, tabouli, latkes and a wide variety of specialty baked goods such as rugaleah, strudel, mandelbrot, hamantaschen and New York cheesecake. A variety of beverages will also be available to accompany the delicious food.

The organizing committee has announced cooking and food preparation demonstrations with celebrity chefs from The Marine Room, Urban Solace, Herringbone, Indulge Catering and more. Each chef will demonstrate food preparation while explaining the nuances behind each creative twist on traditional Jewish delicacies. Is there an admission fee?
Admission is free with any advance purchase of Food Nosh Cards. Click here. Day of event festival grounds admission is $3 per person. Kids 12 and under are admitted free with accompanying adult. All food purchases must be made using official JFF Nosh Cards available for purchase in advance on our website (best value) and at the Festival. (Click here for advance online tickets sales)
